Scott Conger will be sworn in as the next Mayor of Jackson, July 1.
Conger defeated Jerry Woods in a runoff to win the election.
Conger picked up 7,397 votes compared to 4,339 for Woods.
The election attracted 11,784 voters compared to 11,139 voters in the May 7 election.
