JACKSON, Tenn. — We are just two weeks away from the start of school in
Jackson-Madison County.Registration for the 2016-17 school year began Monday.
According to school officials, if you have a returning student you need to
bring proof of your address, such as utility bill. You also need a photo ID and the
registration card that was mailed to your home.If you have moved or you are registering a new student , you’ll need a few more items
including a copy of your child’s birth certificate, and their immunization
record. Kindergartners must be 5 years old by or on Aug. 15, 2016 to
enroll. Not having all the required records can delay the process so officials
urge parents to go through the check list or call before coming in.More information can be found on the JMCSS.org website.
