Veteran sports radio broadcaster Joe Holloway returns as host of “Saturday Sports Roundup,” which debuts Saturday at 9 a.m. on News Talk 101.5.
Holloway, a retired TSSAA girl’s basketball basketball coach, is joined each week by co-hosts Bill Hamilton and Jimmy Butler.
Billed as “The Most Electrifying Show in Saturday Sport Entertainment,” the show is also able to be viewed on wnws.com, and on-demand on Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV.
South Side girl’s basketball coach Brent McNeil, whose Hawks team captured the state title this month, will be a guest in Hour 1.
This week’s lineup also includes Grand Junction, Tennessee, native Steve Hamer, who played college basketball at the University of Tennessee, and professionally with the Boston Celtics.
Sean Sparks, a Tennessee insider with Vol Vault, will be checking in from Rocky Top each show.
“Saturday Sports Roundup” has been the area’s most popular Saturday morning sports show since its creation in mid-1990s.
Butler, Hamilton and Holloway bring their extensive network of well-known coaches and athletes to the show, as the audience gets a unique dose of the past, present and future sports of Jackson and West Tennessee.
Presented by Umphy’s Homemade Chicken & Biscuits, the audience is encouraged to participate in the show by calling-in 731-423-8101, or texting 731-277-5155.
