Ryan Rolison, a 2016 graduate of the University School of Jackson, has been selected to play in the California League All-Star Baseball game, which will be held in San Bernardino, June 18.
Rolison, a left-handed pitcher, plays for Lancaster (Calif.), and is one of seven JetHawks selected to play in the game.
He has started eight games for the JetHawks, the Advanced High A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies of the California League.
Rolison, who played collegiately at Ole Miss, is 2-2 with an earned run average of 3.15 in 45.2 innings of work.
He has allowed 17 runs (16 earned), 44 hits, walked 11 and has struck out 49 hitters.
Rolison began the 2019 season with the Asheville (N.C.) Tourists of the South Atlantic League.
He was 2-1 (0.69 ERA) in three starts with Asheville, where he worked 14.2 innings, struck out 14, and allowed eight hits and one earned run.
Rolison was selected 22nd overall by the Rockies in the 2018 MLB Draft.
