Road work schedule for West Tennessee counties

There may be DAYTIME or NIGHTTIME lane closures at various locations in Region 4 to make repairs or perform new installations on an as-needed basis throughout the 21 counties.

 

District 47
BENTON, CARROLL, HENRY, GIBSON, OBION, WEAKLEY, DYER COUNTY

 

VARIOUS ROUTES – Pavement markings will be repainted across the Region (West Tennessee). This will result in a slow-moving work zone on interstate and state routes in Shelby, Fayette, Haywood, Madison, Henderson, and Dyer counties.

VARIOUS ROUTES – Pavement testing will cause temporary lane closures in District 47.

 

BENTON COUNTY

I-40 at Exit 126 – The grading, drainage, and paving on I-40 at the US-641 (SR-69) interchange (Exit 126) will cause temporary lane closures throughout the project.

 

BENTON COUNTY

SR-1 (US 70) – Grading, drainage, and paving on SR-1 (US 70) from the Camden Bypass to the Tennessee River will result in temporary lane closures throughout the project. The following roads are closed for construction. Traffic to utilize Cutt-Off Rd to access US-70 (SR-1):  Missionary Grove Church Rd from US 70 (SR-1) to Old Hwy 70 and Old Hwy 70 from Missionary Grove Church Rd to US 70 (SR-1).

 

CARROLL COUNTY

SR-22 & SR-364 – Resurfacing on SR-22 from near SR77 to SR77 and on SR364 from SR22 to SR77 will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving and bridge repairs.

 

CARROLL COUNTY

SR-76 (US-79) – The grading, drainage, noise walls, signals, and paving on U.S. 79 (S.R. 76) from near S.R. 77 to near Cutlip Lane will cause lane closures throughout the project.

Meadowbrook Lane is closed.

Cutlip Lane Traffic was shifted to the new alignment from near Cutlip Ln. to the Connector Rd. leading into Trezevant, speed limit reduced to 35 MPH. Traffic will proceed down the new alignment to an All-Way Stop, then onto Old US79 (SR76).

Dorsey Rd is closed for utility realignment and road construction, weather permitting. The detour route is posted.

Clay Farm Rd is closed for utility realignment and road construction, weather permitting. The detour route along Newsome Rd. is posted.

Power Station Road is closed for road construction, and traffic is detoured along US-70A/SR105 Main Street.

SR-105 – Traffic is shifted to the new realignment close to Power Station Road.

 

DYER COUNTY: US-51 (SR-3) Resurfacing on US-51 (SR-3) from near SR-181 to SR-78 will result in lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

DYER COUNTY

SR-211 The Construction of a multimodal path along S.R. 211 from Samaria Bend Road to Horner Road will cause lane closures throughout the project.

 

DYER COUNTY

US-412 and US-51 INTERCHANGE The full-depth repair of the concrete ramp from SR-211 North/St. Johns Ave to US-412E (SR20), will cause the ramp to be temporarily closed.
A signed detour will be provided.

 

DYER COUNTY

US-412 and I-155 INTERCHANGE: The full-depth repair of the concrete ramp from US-412E (SR20) to I-155, will cause the ramp to be closed the week of August 31.
A signed detour will be provided.

 

GIBSON COUNTY

SR-5 The miscellaneous safety improvements on U.S.45(SR-5) at the intersection of Broad Street in Dyer will cause lane closures throughout the project.

 

GIBSON COUNTY

SR-43 The City of Milan’s pipe repair on US-45E (SR-43/N. 1st Street) from the intersection of US-79 (SR-76) to W. Woodrow Street will result in daily lane closures; one lane in each direction will be maintained.

 

GIBSON COUNTY

SR-105 Resurfacing from Shiloh Road to Wayne Lloyd Road will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

OBION COUNTY

SR-184 Resurfacing on SR-184 from the Church Street to Catron Road will require lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

OBION COUNTY

SR-43 Resurfacing on US-45E (SR-43) from the Weakley County Line to the Kentucky State line will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

HENRY COUNTY

SR-218 Resurfacing from SR-77 to SR-76 will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

HENRY COUNTY

SR-54 Grading, drainage, bridge construction, and paving on SR-54 from near Howard Road to the Kentucky State line are causing lane closures throughout the project.
Drivers should stay alert and watch for heavy equipment while traveling through the construction zone.

 

WEAKLEY COUNTY

SR-54: Resurfacing from Cain Creek to SR-22 will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

District 48

CHESTER, CROCKETT, DECATUR, HARDEMAN, HARDIN, HAYWOOD, HENDERSON, MADISON, MCNAIRY

 

CHESTER COUNTY

SR100 between E. Main St. and Baker Road

Crews are replacing 2 bridges on SR100 between E. Main St. and Baker Rd.  Construction of the bridges is complete. There may be intermittent lane closures to finish overall construction.

 

CHESTER COUNTY

Talley Store Rd. (County Road) is closed between Terry Lane to past Talley Road

Talley Store Road is open for thru traffic. Expect temporary lane closures daily.

 

CHESTER COUNTY

SR100 Intersection at SR-225

The construction of turn lanes at the intersection of SR100 and SR225 will result in temporary lane closures and flagging operations.

 

CROCKETT COUNTY

SR88 in Bells, TN, in relation to relocating SR76 around Pictsweet

The following roads closed in Bells, TN

·         Central Ave. (SR88) from High St. To Christian Ave Ext.

·         Central Ave. (SR88), west of the CSX Railroad

·         Weddle St., south of Mitchell Ave.

·         Hicks St., from High St. to south of existing Central Ave. (SR88)

A posted detour will be in place for SR88.

 

HARDEMAN COUNTY

SR100 from near SR18 to near Firetower Road

The resurfacing on SR100 from near SR18 to near Firetower Road will cause temporary lane closures in both directions. One lane will remain open at all times. Motorists should watch for the crew and equipment in the roadway.

 

HARDEMAN COUNTY

SR125 between SR18 and the Chester County line

Monday, September 14 through Friday, September 18, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. – SR125 in Hardeman County will have temporary intermittent full closures between SR18 and the Chester County line for cross drain replacements. A detour will be posted, and message boards will provide adequate warning of the closures.

 

HARDEMAN COUNTY

SR 57 from the Fayette County line to Saulsbury Road

The resurfacing on SR 57 from the Fayette County line to Saulsbury Road will cause temporary lane closures in both directions. One lane will remain open at all times. Motorists should watch for the crew and equipment in the roadway.

 

HARDIN COUNTY

Bridge on SR 128 over Pickwick Dam

Continuing through Wednesday, September 16: No scheduled closures.

 

HARDIN COUNTY

SR 203 from Burnt Church Road to near Lonesome Pine Road

Resurfacing on SR203, from Burnt Church Rd. to Lonesome Pine Rd., will cause temporary lane closures. Motorists should watch for equipment entering the highway.

 

HARDIN COUNTY

S.R.69 from S.R. 15 to Sycamore Drive Resurfacing work will cause daily lane closures

 

HARDIN COUNTY

S.R. 142 from the McNairy County Line to S.R.57 – Resurfacing work will cause daily lane closures.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

SR180 Near Jeffries Road to Raymond Akin Road closed to through traffic

SR180 is closed to through traffic for bridge construction.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

I-40 Westbound from MM56 to MM55

Tuesday, September 15, 8 p.m.-6 a.m. There will be a right lane closure at night on I-40 in Haywood County westbound between MM56 to MM55 to attach ITS Conduit under the bridge.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

I-40 Westbound from MM46 to MM45

Thursday, September 17, 8 p.m.-6 a.m. – There will be a right lane closure at night on I-40 in Haywood County westbound between MM46 to MM45 to attach ITS Conduit under the bridge.

 

HENDERSON COUNTY (Non-TDOT work)

SR22 Northbound just north of Bud Crockett Drive to Lee Lane (LM 16.8)

The right lane and shoulder is closed for crews to build a entrance to the new TCAT facility.

 

HENDERSON COUNTY

I-40 (Exit 101) at the SR104 Interchange

Continuing through Wednesday, September 16, 7PM-6AM – There will be nightly lane closures on I-40 east and west bound between MM100-102, including possible ramp closures at Exit 101 for ramp improvements including grading, drainage, lighting, and paving.

I-40 Westbound from MM112 to MM111

Monday, September 14, 8 p.m.-6 a.m. – There will be a right lane closure at night on I-40 in Henderson County westbound between MM112 to MM111 to attach ITS Conduit under the bridge.

 

MADISON COUNTY

I-40 Westbound from MM79 to MM78

Thursday, September 10, 8 p.m.-6 a.m. – There will be a lane closure at night on I-40 in Madison County westbound between MM79 to MM78 to attach ITS Conduit under the bridge.

 

MCNAIRY COUNTY

SR142 From US45 (SR5) to near Albert Robinson Road – Resurfacing will cause temporary lane closures. Motorists should watch for equipment entering the highway.

 

MCNAIRY AND CHESTER COUNTY

SR 224 from US64 to SR22A in Chester County

Resurfacing with cold in-place recycling (thin mix overlay) on SR224 from US 64 (SR15) in McNairy County to SR22A in Chester County, including bridge repair work, will cause daily lane closures.

 

MCNAIRY COUNTY

SR 5 (US 45) from SR57 to US64 – Resurfacing with cold in-place recycling on US45 (SR5) from SR57 to US 64 (SR15), including concrete repair on the bridge over Roland Creek will cause daily lane closures.

 

District 49

SHELBY, FAYETTE, TIPTON, LAUDERDALE COUNTY

 

INTERSTATE

FAYETTE COUNTY

I-40 Westbound from MM31.5 to MM29.5

Wednesday, September 16, 8 p.m.-6 a.m. – There will be a right lane closure at night on I-40 in Fayette County westbound between MM31.5 to MM29.5 to attach ITS Conduit under the bridge.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-40 Eastbound from Levee Road to Hollywood Street

There will be long-term lane closures on East and Westbound I-40 inside lanes for rubblization and paving operations. At least two lanes in the east and westbound directions will remain open at all times.

·         Hollywood St. Eastbound and Westbound entrance ramps – The entrance ramps from Hollywood St to East and Westbound I-40 will be closed with a posted detour in place.

Nightly Thursday, September 10th, 9 p.m. to Thursday, September 17th, 6 a.m.

There will be lane closures for paving operations.  One lane will remain open in each direction at all times. WEATHER PERMITTING

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-40 from near Sycamore View Road to Fletcher Creek

Nightly, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

There will be intermittent nightly lane closures on East and Westbound I-40 for paving operations. One lane will remain open in both directions at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR- 14/ US-61 (Third Street) Bridges over ICRR and Nonconnah Creek Interstate 55 Exit Ramp Bridge to State Route 14 (South 3rd Street) Bridge over Interstate 55

The following ramps on US-61 S Third St (SR14) at I 55 will continue to remain closed with detours in place:

·         Northbound S.R. 14 to northbound I-55.

·         Southbound S.R. 14 to southbound I-55.

·         Southbound I-55 to southbound SR-14

·         Northbound I-55 to northbound/southbound SR-14

Northbound SR-14 traffic will be reduced to one lane from the approach to the bridge over Nonconnah Creek to just beyond the northbound SR-14 to northbound I-55 loop ramp. Drivers can expect intermittent flagging on SR14.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-55 from near Mill Branch to I-240

Nightly, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent lane closures for bridge repair and paving operations. One lane to remain open in both directions at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-55 North from Wisconsin Avenue to the Memphis-Arkansas Bridge

Monday, September 14th, and Thursday, September 17th, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent lane closures for geotechnical exploration activities. At least one lane will remain open at all times. Tuesday, September 15th, and Friday, September 18th, will serve as backup dates.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-55 Mississippi River Bridge

Continuing through Thursday, September 17th daily – There will be intermittent lane closures for ARDOT bridge inspection on the Memphis-Arkansas Bridge.

I-240 from I-40 to I-55

Nightly, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent lane closures for resurfacing operations. At least one lane will remain open in both directions at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-240 from near Elvis Presley Boulevard to near S Perkins Road

Nightly, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.- There will be intermittent lane closures for resurfacing operations. At least one lane will remain open in both directions at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-240 from SR-4 (Lamar Ave.) to Getwell Road

 

LOOK AHEAD

Friday, September 11th, 8 p.m. through Monday, September 14th, 6 a.m. – There will be temporary lane closures along I-240 East and West for bridge repair activities on the Black Bayou Bridge. At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times. Exit 20A-B (Getwell Road) from I-240 East will be temporarily closed.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-240 from near S. Perkins to near Park Avenue

Nightly, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent lane closures for resurfacing operations.  One lane to remain open in both directions at all times.

 

STATE ROUTES

FAYETTE COUNTY

SR-15 (U.S. 64) from near Tomlin Road to near Woodbridge Road

Daily – There will be temporary lane closures on east and westbound SR-15 from near Tomlin Road to near Woodbridge Road to perform resurfacing work. At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-1 (N. Parkway) from near Danny Thomas Street to Tillman Street

Nightly from 8 pm to 6 am. – There will be intermittent temporary lane closures for resurfacing operations.  At least one lane in each direction to remain open at all times.

Beginning Friday, September 17th from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., until Monday, September 21st at 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent temporary lane closures for epoxy overlay operations on the bridge over I-40 at L.M. 4.38.  At least one lane in each direction to remain open at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-1 (U.S. 70, Summer Avenue) from near I-40 to North of Sycamore View Road

Daily – There will be temporary lane closures along Westbound and Eastbound SR-1 for roadway widening activities. Eastbound SR-1 will be reduced from two lanes to one lane beginning at the I-40 Frontage Rd. and ending East of Sycamore View Rd. Westbound SR-1 will be reduced from two lanes to one lane beginning near Munson Rd. and ending at the I-40 Frontage Road. Trucks will be entering and exiting the work zone along SR-1. Flaggers will be present for directing traffic as necessary. At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

 

Access to Summer Trees Drive along SR-1 (Summer Avenue) will be temporarily closed with detours in place.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-3 (US51 Thomas Street) from Near Wolf River and Levee Road to Stage Road

Daily – There will be a long-term lane closure, Northbound and Southbound traffic will be reduced to 1 lane in each direction with a traffic shift in place to begin bridge replacement.  At least one lane in each direction to remain open at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-4 from South of Shelby Drive to the Raines/Perkins Road interchange

The following routes will be affected due to roadway widening activities along SR-4.

Affected Routes

·         Lamar Avenue (SR-4) Speed limit reduced from 55 mph to 45 mph from South of Shelby Drive to the Raines/Perkins Road interchange.

·         Shelby Drive (SR-175) Speed limit reduced from 45 mph to 35 mph at the intersection with Lamar Avenue (SR-4).

·         Pleasant Run Road Closed to thru traffic from Pleasant Hill Road. Pleasant Run Road is closed from Lamar Avenue (SR-4).

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-14 from Kerrville Rosemark Road to the Tipton County line

The widening on SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy) from Kerrville-Rosemark to the Tipton County Line will cause shoulder closures and temporary lane closures in both directions. There will be intermittent lane closures daily on eastbound and westbound SR 14 to perform grading, drainage, and paving work. Tracy Rd., Idaville Rd., Mulberry Rd., and Gragg Rd. will be closed, and a detour put in place.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-57 (E. Poplar Avenue) from Fletcher Road to I-269 (SR-385)

Daily – There will be intermittent temporary lane closures along East and Westbound SR-57 for roadway widening activities. Flaggers will be present for directing traffic. At least one lane will remain open at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

Collierville-Arlington Rd (Old SR 205) from Shelton Rd. to the Wolf River Greenway Trail Entrance

The Collierville-Arlington Road (Old SR-205) Bridges over the Wolf River and Wolf River Overflow will be closed for bridge replacement activities. Detours will be provided. This closure is anticipated to remain in place until Fall 2027.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-385 at US-51

Daily – There will be a right lane closure along Westbound SR-385 near US-51 in Millington. Closures expected to last 3 months.

 

TIPTON COUNTY

SR-3 from North Myron Creek to South of Old Hwy 51

The southbound outside and northbound inside lanes will be closed to begin turn lane construction for the Tipton County landfill.

 

TIPTON COUNTY

SR-179 from SR-54 to SR-14 – There will be temporary lane closures on east and westbound SR 179 from SR 54 to SR 14 DAILY to perform resurfacing work.
