From the Tennessee Department of Transportation –
Friday, October 25, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.: SR 5 (Highland Avenue) will have intermittent left and right lane closures both north and southbound from Vann Drive to the Carriage House/Ridgecrest intersection for bridge construction activities.
Saturday, October 26, 4 a.m. through Sunday, October 27, 8 p.m.: I-40 east and westbound at Exit 82 will be closed and detoured onto the Exit 82 ramps. Highland Ave. (SR 5) will be closed at the interchange to allow for continuous flow of interstate traffic. This closure is to allow for installation of steel bridge beams.
Backup date will be Saturday, November 2, 4:00 a.m., through Sunday, November 3, 8 p.m.
Monday, October 28 through Wednesday, October 30, EACH DAY, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.: SR 5 (Highland Avenue) will have intermittent left and right lane closures both north and southbound from Vann Drive to the Carriage House/Ridgecrest intersection for bridge construction activities.

Thursday, October 31 and Friday, November 1, EACH DAY, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.: SR 5 (Highland Avenue) will have intermittent left and right lane closures both north and southbound from Vann Drive to the Carriage House/Ridgecrest intersection for bridge construction activities.
Saturday, November 2, 4 a.m. through Sunday, November 3, p.m., Highland Ave. (SR 5) will be closed at the Exit 82 interchange to allow for installation of metal bridge decking. Work will be phased where only one direction of traffic will be closed at a time. I-40 and all interchange ramps at Exit 82 will be open.
Backup date will be Friday, November 8, 8 p.m., through Monday, November 11, 6 a.m.
Monday, November 4 through Wednesday, November 6, EACH DAY, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., SR 5 (Highland Avenue) will have intermittent left and right lane closures both north and southbound from Vann Drive to the Carriage House/Ridgecrest intersection for bridge construction activities.
