The Jackson Police Department is offering a $1,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the armed robbery of a north Jackson business and the murder of an employee.
Monday at approximately 2:40 a.m., Officers responded to a shooting at the Goldline Convenience Store, located at 1819 U.S. 45 By-Pass and Old Hickory Blvd.
A store employee, Nageab Alshaif, was shot during a robbery attempt. Mr. Alshaif was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. He was later moved to a Memphis hospital where he died from his injury.
The suspect was described as a black male dressed in all black with a black mask and gloves. He was last seen running south from the business.
