Washington, D.C. – Congressman Stephen Fincher (R-Frog Jump) today announced he is kicking off his “Operation Valentines” program. From now until February 10, the Congressman’s district offices will collect valentines for distribution throughout West Tennessee for veterans and those currently serving in the military.
“Every February, across the country, friends and loved ones swap cards and candy for Valentine’s Day to show they care,” said Congressman Fincher. “This year, I wanted to start a Valentine’s tradition of my own, to show West Tennessee’s heroes how much we care for them. That's why I’m kicking off ‘Operation Valentines’ to get valentines into the hands of West Tennessee’s many soldiers, past and present, to show gratitude and support for all that they have done, and continue to do for our country.”
Fincher continued, “I encourage classrooms, church groups, families and individuals to join me in helping brighten the day of America’s heroes.”

Basic guidelines to follow:
Please do not address the valentines to a specific person
Please do not sign your last name or include your address (city, state is okay)
Please do not seal the individual valentines envelopes, as all valentines will be reviewed for content and appropriateness before delivering them.
Valentines must be received by close of business, Monday, February 10.
