Reggie Cobb, a running back who played at the University of Tennessee from 1987 to 1989 and appears in the top 10 of several of the program’s all-time rushing records, has passed away.
He was 50.
Cobb ran for 1,197 yards and 17 touchdowns his freshman year, and finished his career with 2,360 rushing yards, 360 receiving yards, and 29 total touchdowns.
He rushed for 225 yards against Auburn in 1989, a record that stands as the ninth most for any player who played for UT.
Cobb would play professionally for Tampa Bay, Green Bay, Jacksonville and the New York Jets.
