A few City streets scheduled for re-surfacing have been completed, while a few are on hold due to colder temperatures, which has asphalt plants closed.
The Jackson City Council approved a re-surfacing contract with Delta Contracting for about $1.8 million to have 24 streets resurfaced prior to November 20 or 25, 2018.
“Asphalt plants will not re-open until March,” said Jerry Gist, mayor of Jackson, “Right now, there’s not a great deal of re-surfacing – not even on the state level.”
