Public corruption fugitive arrested by U.S. Marshals Task Force

Memphis – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest of Roderick Harvey for Bribery of a Public Servant and Violation of a Computer Act Over $10,000.

On August 6, 2021, based on the work of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Shelby County Grand Jury indicted nine individuals. They are accused in an elaborate scheme to profit from the use of confidential information in Memphis Police Department reports.

Roderick Harvey was among those indicted. After receiving information that Harvey had fled Tennessee, the TBI requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (TRVFTF).

The fugitive investigation revealed that Harvey was in Phoenix, AZ. After coordination between the two offices, the U.S. Marshals Task Force in Phoenix took Harvey into custody without incident on August 24. He was booked in at the Maricopa County Jail.

“The U.S. Marshals Service always stands ready to assist our state and local partners,” said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller. “Despite Harvey’s attempt to evade arrest by traveling over a thousand miles, he was safely apprehended.”
