JACKSON Tenn (August 25, 2015) – Property purchases, New Ambulances Topped West Tennessee Healthcare’s Board of Trustees Meeting
Board members passed a resolution to purchase two homes, 737 and 743 Wilshire Drive. There are no immediate planse for these properties but they are the only two parcels adjacent that aren’t in the hospitals portfolio. The purchase price was $150,000 each.
The board approved a purchase of five new ambulances at a cost of $170,969 per vehicle and the purchase 65 new defibrillators. James Ross, the COO of West Tenn Healthcare, said the defibrillators purchased are to replace equipment in the progressive care and medical-surgical units. The defibrillators will cost $1.012 million.
CFO Jeff Blankenship told the trustees, the first month revenue of the new fiscal year outpaced expectations. Income for the month of July was $2.7 million, compared to budgeted $1.5 million.
