Robert Hodges, better known in Memphis and throughout the mid-south as Prince Mongo, has passed away.

He was 89.

Prince Mongo, was an American businessman and minor local political personality in Memphis who continuously ran for Mayor of the City of Memphis, beginning in the 1970s.

Best known for an eccentric personality, Mongo or Hodges, claimed to have been born on the planet Zambodia around 333 years ago.
