Police Search For Suspects In 2 Robberies That Occurred The Same Evening

JACKSON, Tenn. (July 23, 2015) — Two armed robberies happened within 30 minutes of each other Wednesday night. According to police, those responsible are still on the loose.

Jackson and Humboldt Police Departments are not saying if the two robberies are connected.

But surveillance photos released by police show two masked men at both locations wearing similar masks and clothing.

According to Humboldt police around 9:15 p.m. two black men wearing masks, and armed with a handgun, entered the Maverick gas station on East End Drive and held up the clerk. Officers said the pair fled on foot but they believe they had a vehicle.

Jackson police say approximately 30 minutes later two masked gunmen committed a similar robbery at a convenience store off Old Humboldt Road near the Jackson Bowling and Family Fun Center.

Store security cameras captured images of the suspects. Police hope the public will help identify these suspects before someone else is robbed or hurt..

Anyone with information about either robbery is asked to call Jackson police at 731-425-8400, Humboldt police at 731-784-1322 or Crime Stoppers at 731-424-TIPS (8477). All calls will remain anonymous.
