JACKSON TN (January 8, 2014) – Police Investigate Tuesday Night Home Invasion Shooting; Victim was Shot and Robbed of Marijuana
Jackson police are investigating a Tuesday night home invasion shooting on Brooksie Drive.
Around 10 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a shooting on the 20 block of Brooksie Drive. A 23-year-old man was transported by private vehicle to Regional Hospital of Jackson.
Based on the preliminary investigation, two men kicked in the door of the victim's duplex and demanded money. During a confrontation, the victim was shot in the leg and robbed of marijuana. While processing the crime scene, officers found an amount of marijuana inside the victim's apartment.
Officers also found a small bag of marijuana and a large amount of cash in the shooting victim's pockets.
The victim remains in critical but stable condition at Regional Hospital.
