JACKSON Tenn – Jackson Police have made an arrest in a weekend shooting at a convenience store.
18-year-old Markist Cole is charged with attempted murder in a Sunday shooting that injured two people
Police responded to the T&D Corner Stop on Whitehall Street where witnesses say a suspect entered the store and attempted to make a purchase but was refused service. The suspect left but later returned with a gun and started shooting.
A male and female victim were injured and have been released after being treated for their injuries.
On Tuesday Markist Cole surrendered to police and is being held at the Madison County Jail.
