Jackson police received a call around 11:00 a.m. today from a citizen who recognized the man wanted in the attempted robbery of the Circle K Convenience Store, Monday around midnight. Police arrested Joe Thomas Boone, 35, of Dyersburg, inside a business in the 2100 block of N. Highland Avenue. He was wearing the same pants and shoes as shown in the surveillance video.
Boone admitted to investigators that he had committed the crime. Police charged him with Attempted Aggravated Robbery. He will be formally arraigned in Jackson City Court tomorrow morning at 8:00.
