On December 8 at approximately 2:39 PM officers responded to the Auto Zone store on south Highland to a report of a theft. Officers interviewed the victim and learned a wallet had been stolen between noon and 1:15 PM.
The wallet contained 2 debt cards, 5 credit cards, drivers license, EBT card, and $25.00 in cash. The victim stated they could not identify the person or persons responsible.
The victim learned of the theft when she was contacted by her credit card company that someone had attempted to use on of her credit cards
Investigators have identified persons of interest and obtained photos from store security cameras. The stolen cards were used at Walgreens and Target in Jackson, also the Wal-Mart in Brownsville.
