JACKSON Tenn (March 30, 2015) – The candidates for Jackson city mayor met for a third forum Monday night.
The event was hosted by the Jackson Sun and EPlus TV 6. Â The moderator for the evening was Sun editor, Steve Coffman.

Candidates answered questions submitted by constituents. Â The topic for this event was Crime. Â Questions ranged from selection of a police chief, and whether or not Mayor Gist’s Blue Impact plan is effective, to the effect of single parent homes and other socioeconomic factors.
On several occasions Gist, Finney, and Baxter sparred over crime statistics and leadership styles. Â Tim York emphasized a strong Tea Party conservative leaning for his possible administration. Â Charlie Moten played up the governments responsibility to be more involved in citizen’s lives.
