From the Jackson Police Department –
Jackson Police are investigating an early morning shooting that occurred at 1943 US Highway 45 Bypass, Casey Jones Motel.
On June 5th, 2020 at approximately 5 a.m., officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to a shooting at the motel.
Responding officers found a 35-year-old Texas resident, Rolando Salas, with two gunshot wounds to the chest. Mr. Salas was transported to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators reviewed the security footage from the hotel and are searching for a black male last seen in a gold or tan GMC Envoy in relation to the shooting.
No other suspect information is available at this time.
