From the Jackson Police Department –

Officers and Investigators with the Jackson Police Department continue to investigate a late evening shooting at 1929 Highway 45 Bypass, Marathon Mobil Gas Station.

On April 12th at approximately 8 p.m., Jackson Police Officers responded to the Mobil Gas Station located near Casey Jones Village for a report of shots being fired. Officers responding to the scene located damaged property along with other evidence associated with a shooting. During the investigation, officers were advised that a subject suffering with a non-life threatening gunshot injury had arrived at the Emergency Room in a privately owned vehicle.
