Jackson, TENNESSEE – At approximately 6:48 p.m.,, Madison County Fire crews responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a Greyhound bus on Highway 70 East, Monday.
This mass casualty incident involved 39 patients, with around 27 requiring ambulance transport. Emergency personnel remain actively on scene working diligently.
This response was a coordinated team effort involving Madison County Fire Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, and MedCenter EMS. We deeply appreciate the collaboration and dedication of all agencies involved.
We ask the community to please avoid the area for the next several hours to allow emergency personnel to safely manage the situation. Our thoughts are with all those affected by this incident, and we remain committed to providing the highest level of care and support.
