New Restaurant coming to Jackson, TN

A new restaurant named South Philly & Maine is taking shape at 929 N. Highland Ave. in Jackson.

The owner recently purchased the property and is combining two regional food traditions under one roof: Philadelphia-style cheesesteaks and Maine lobster rolls.

Cheesesteaks will use thin-sliced ribeye cooked on a flat top, Cooper Sharp cheese (with Cheez Whiz available), and Amoroso’s rolls brought in from Philly. Lobster rolls will use fresh Maine lobster meat, not imitation, served warm with butter.

The owner says the goal is a real Philly cheesesteak and a real Maine lobster roll without leaving Jackson. 

Work has already been visible at the Highland Avenue site. An official opening date has not been announced.
