New project for Jackson Housing Authority continues on North Royal Street near North Parkway

Remodeling and new construction continues on housing at 8 Kingsfield Drive, which faces North Royal Avenue and is near North Parkway.

“We have 16 new buildings, 51 new units, and we’re remodeling 31 existing buildings,” Jeff Brasfield said. “It’s a new project for the Jackson Housing Authority. Construction on the remodeled units is expected to be complete by late spring in 2018, and construction on the new units is expected to be complete by early fall.”

Jeff Brasfield is the president of Brasfield Construction Company.

The buildings – two-and-three bedrooms – are 3,000-square-feet, with an average size of about 900- square-feet for each unit.

The buildings are located on 7.6 acres and the total cost of the project is about $11 million.
