National Law Enforcement Memorial Service held at Sheriff’s Office

The annual National Law Enforcement Memorial Service was held at the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, 317 Denmark-Jackson Road, Friday.

Local recording artist Laurice Lanier sang the National Anthem, followed by comments from State Representative Chris Todd.

The “Lest we forget” ceremony was held, when each fallen Officer, from various agencies, had their names called and roses placed in a wreath by a family representative in their memory.

This memorial event showed appreciation to all who serve in law enforcement, especially those who gave their lives in the line of duty, which is the Ultimate sacrifice.
