From the Madison County Sheriff’s Office –
Madison County Sheriff John Mehr is inviting the public to attend the annual National Law Enforcement Memorial Service.
The Memorial Service will be held at the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, 317 Denmark-Jackson Road at 11 a.m., Friday.
After the welcome and presentation of colors, local recording artist Laurice Lanier will sing the National Anthem.
State Representative Chris Todd will speak, followed by the “Lest we forget” ceremony, when all of our fallen Officers, from various agencies, their names will be called and roses will be placed in a wreath by a family representative in their memory.
This memorial event will show our appreciation to all who serve in law enforcement, especially those who gave their lives in the line of duty, which is the Ultimate sacrifice.
