Murry E. Exum, who sold vehicles for 51 years at dealerships that included Serra of Jackson and Jim Miles Oldsmobile-Cadillac, passed away at his home, Wednesday.
He was 73.
A graduate of North Side High School, Murry attended then-Lambuth College before he began working at Jim Miles Oldsmobile-Cadillac in 1964.
Twenty-six years later, Murry began working at Serra of Jackson before retiring in 2015.
Serra of Jackson is flying the American Flag at half-staff in honor of Murry Exum, a member of the National Guard.
“Murry had a great personalility, and Murry lover everybody he met, and everybody who met Murry loved him,” said Jimmy Exum, a cousin of Murry Exam. “He was definitely a people person, who loved his work, and that’s one of the great things you can say – he loved his work.”
Visitation for Murry E. Exum will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday at Arrington Funeral Directors, 148 West University Parkway.
