Movement minuscule in this week’s Bakers Dozen high school football coaches poll

There was only one casualty – Hardin County – in the NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM & WNWS.COM Bakers Dozen coaches poll after the first round of the TSSAA state high school football playoffs, last Friday.

Here’s this week’s poll and schedule – all games kickoff at 7 p.m., Friday.

1) Covington (11-0) – defeated Melrose, 49-6. Next game: Class 3A state playoffs, home vs. McNairy Central

2) Huntingdon (11-0) – defeated Moore County, 41-19 – Next game: Class 1A state playoffs, home vs. Mt. Pleasant

3) Dyersburg (11-0) – defeated Memphis East, 63-0 – Next game: Class 4A state playoffs, home vs. Crockett County.

4) Henry County (10-1) – defeated Munford, 42-14 – Next game: Class 5A state playoffs, home vs. Ridgeway

5) Peabody (10-1) – defeated MAHS, 42-0 – Next game: Class 2A state playoffs, home vs. Trinity Christian Academy

6) Haywood (7-4) – defeated Fayette Ware, 42-0 – Next game: Class 4A state playoffs, home vs. Ripley

7) Lake County (10-1) – defeated Westwood, 60-14 – Next game: Class 1A state playoffs, home vs. West Carroll
