Milan Police – 1 injured, 8 people charged in connection with shooting in Walmart parking lot

Milan Police have charged 8 people in connection with a Saturday afternoon shooting outside of the Milan Walmart.

Two vehicles, a Red Dodge Charger and a White Ford F-150, met in the parking lot around 5 p.m. and an altercation began. As a result, Camryn Jones, 19, of Jackson, was shot in the neck.

Jones was transported to the Milan Emergency Room by private vehicle and later airlifted to The Regional Medical Center in Memphis with critical injuries. As of Sunday morning, Jones remained in critical care.

As of late Saturday night, Milan Police Chief Bobby Sellers and Investigators were reviewing video surveillance tapes and questioning 8-10 suspects.

“The video shows multiple people around a car and a pickup truck. There was an altercation, the victim was shot and driven to Milan ER by private vehicle,” Sellers said.

Sunday morning, Chief Sellers said 8 people, including Jones, had been charged. Sellers has yet to release the name of the shooter.

Arrested and charged with possession of schedule VI with intent, tampering with evidence and 4 counts of felony reckless endangerment are Damarius Dashawn Bates, 19, of Jackson, Kylin L. Finch 19, of Huntingdon and Dallas T. Ingram, 21, of Jackson. The trio arrived to Walmart in red Dodge Charger.

Arriving to the parking lot driving a white Ford 150 were Jones, Enrico Pugh and 3 juveniles.

Camryn Jones had been charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated robbery, armed and dangerous felonies (display of deadly weapon) contributing to the delinquency of a minor, 3 counts, and 4 counts of felony reckless endangerment.

Enrico Pugh has been charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, criminal responsibility for conduct of another, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, 3 counts and four counts of felony reckless endangerment.

The juveniles are also in custody and all three are charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, criminal responsibility for conduct of another and four counts of felony reckless endangerment.
