The five candidates vying for the office of Mayor of Jackson will appear in a Mayoral Forum at the Carl Perkins Civic Center, at 6:30 p.m., today.
The candidates are Dr. Jerry Woods, an educator, Jimmy Eldridge, a retired State Representative from Jackson, Scott Conger, president/CEO of the United Way of West Tennessee, Mark Johnstone, a Jackson businessman and Vicky Foote, Jackson City Councilwoman – District 1.
Due to a previous commitment, Foote will not be in attendance.
Keli McAlister, a TBI public information officer for 21 counties in West Tennessee, will moderate the event.
The candidates will be asked a limited number of questions, but the public will not be participating.
Doors at 5:30 p.m., at the Civic Center.
The Mayor’s election will be held May 7.
