Matt Spurgeon, a senior starting quarterback for the Trinity Christian Academy football team, is out indefinitely following a tubing accident, Saturday.
“He will have surgery (Thursday) at Vanderbilt,” said Kyle Spurgeon, Matt’s father, “It’s painful right now – his mouth is wired shut and he can’t talk or move around.”
TCA will play South Side in the second game of the Sports Plus Jamboree at Liberty High School at 7 p.m., Friday.
