The Jackson Rotary Club bestowed Marda Wallace with the highest honor for a Jackson woman, when she was announced as the 2024 Woman of the Year, Wednesday.

The presentation was made during the Jackson Rotary Club’s weekly meeting at First United Methodist Church.

Wallace, who serves the City of Jackson as City Council member for District 7, was presented the award by Carolyn Vaughan, president of Jackson Rotary Club.

Nominated by friends and loved ones, she was selected from the list of nominees, all residents of Jackson.

She is the 72nd recipient and bestowing Marda with the highest honor of a Jackson woman.
