Man Wanted for Shooting Gun on Lane College Campus, No Reported Injuries Jackson police are seeking a man for firing a gun on the campus of Lane College.
(September 17, 2013) Jackson TN – Vinton Antonio Grant, of Somerville, is wanted on a charge of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
Around 1 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a shots fired call at Lane College, located at 545 Lane Avenue. A man reportedly fired shots near Graves Hall and was last seen running north.
Witnesses saw the man get into a waiting Oldsmobile Alero on Middleton Street with one man already inside.
Investigators identified 18 year-old Grant as the shooter.
Based on the investigation thus far, Grant fired shots in the vicinity of some students. No one was struck or otherwise injured.
Investigators want to know if Grant was intending to specifically shoot someone and his motive.
Grant is a former Lane student. Lane College is assisting police in the investigation.
Grant is around 6' 2" in height and weighs about 150 pounds.
