Man Wanted For First-Degree Murder In Jackson Captured By U.S. Marshals In Humboldt

 

Jackson, TN – On February 11, 2025, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) captured a man, Amarion Mitchell, wanted for a murder in Jackson.

On May 14, 2024, around 7:20 p.m., the Jackson Police Department investigated a shooting on Roosevelt Parkway near the Jackson Fire Department that killed one and injured other people.

On January 7, 2025, JPD presented the case to the Madison County Grand Jury resulting in the indictment of Amarion Mitchell, 21, on charges of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, and employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

The USMS Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (TRVFTF) in Jackson began searching for Mitchell. This morning, the TRVFTF tracked Mitchell to a residence in the 700 block of N. 23rd Avenue in Humboldt, TN.

Deputy marshals and task force officers took Mitchell into custody without incident. He was transported and booked at the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex.
