Man Pleads Guilty in 2012 Murder at Breaker's Billiard; Investigation Ongoing
Travis Holliday of Jackson, pleads guilty for his involvement in the beating death of 45-year-old Kenneth Brasher of Jackson.
Around 12:30 a.m. on June 17, 2012, Jackson police were called about an assault at Breaker's Billiards located at 701 S. Royal Street. Brasher was found lying on the floor inside the business. He was transported by ambulance to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital and was later pronounced dead from blunt force trauma.
The investigation indicated that Brasher was struck in the head with a bar stool following an altercation.
Investigators developed Holliday as a suspect. He surrendered around 5 p.m. on the day of the murder.
33-year=old Holliday was sentenced to four years in prison for voluntary manslaughter.
He will remain in custody at the Madison County Jail pending transfer to the Tennessee Department of Correction
This case remains under investigation as police do not believe that Holliday was the only person involved.
