Madison County, TN – On the evening of July 19, 2025, at approximately 6:16 p.m., deputies with
the Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shots fired in the 300 block of Harts Bridge Road. Deputies, along with investigators with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Criminal
Investigations Division and officers with the Jackson Police Department, located evidence related
to a shooting incident.
Deputies did confirm that one individual had been transported to a local hospital by private
vehicle. This individual sustained gunshot wounds and he was later pronounced deceased at the
hospital by medical personnel. Preliminary investigation reveals that multiple individuals met at
this pre-determined location to conduct a firearms transaction. During the course of the
transaction one suspect attempted to rob the victim of his firearm, at which time resulted in the
victim being shot.
Investigators processed the scene on Harts Bridge Road as well as the private vehicle which was
later recovered at the local hospital.
Witnesses in the area reported seeing two black male suspects fleeing on foot eastbound from
the scene, one possibly wearing a black shirt and the other a white shirt, both suspects were
possibly wearing black or dark colored pants. Suspect wearing the white shirt is described as a
black male, approximately 15-17 years of age, between 5’-9” and 6’ in height, weighing
approximately 130-140 pounds, armed with a handgun. The suspect wearing the black shirt is
described as a black male, approximately 15-17 years of age, between 5’-6” and 5’-9” in height,
weighing approximately 120 – 130 pounds.
At this time, the investigation is ongoing and any new developments will be provided at the
appropriate time.
