Madison County Sheriff’s Office – High speed chase results in 1 arrest

This afternoon at 12:47, Madison County Sheriff John Mehr, confirmed the arrest of Tess Martin, age 48, a female resident of Bolivar.

MCSO Deputies made a traffic stop, and after a question of identity, Martin led Deputies on a high speed chase that began on Shady Grove Road and covered several miles of the southwest part of the county. Spikes were deployed and she continued to drive without tires, even the rims were destroyed before she was captured and arrested on Highway 18.

Martin will face multiple charges for providing false information concerning her identity. She has two outstanding warrants; Violation of Probation and Violation of Community Corrections.

She was charged with Resisting Arrest and transported to the CJC.
