Solid Waste Convenience Centers Continue Phased Reopening with Restrictions
JACKSON, Tenn. – Out of an abundance of caution, Madison County Health will be closed on Monday, February 2. This includes WIC and the Rabies Center.
Madison County Solid Waste Convenience Centers will continue a phased reopening. The following locations will be open from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Feb. 2, with some restrictions in place:
- Pipkin Road at Overpass View
- 95 Passmore Lane
- 130 H. O. Forgy Drive
At this time, only household waste will be accepted in the main compactor. The following items will not be accepted at this time:
- Cardboard
- Metal
- Open-top loads
- Goodwill donations
All other sites remain closed. Residents should expect possible lines and are encouraged to use caution when visiting open Solid Waste Centers.
Staff are actively working to clear additional sites and will reopen more locations as soon as it is safe to do so.
