(February 19, 2014) Jackson, Tenn.- Former Henderson County Sheriff Ricky Lunsford was scheduled to be sentenced on Tuesday.
The sentencing hearing had to be rescheduled for a later date so that the judge could read and consider a new motion set by the defense.
Lunsford is represented in the case by Attorney Mark Donahoe of Jackson. “We filed a motion to ask the judge to render a judgement of acquittal on count two," Donahoe says.

From an earlier article, Lunsford was found guilty on a count of attempted voluntary manslaughter which is a lesser count than the attempted first degree murder charge he originally faced. Lunsford was also found guilty use of a firearm to commit a felony.
The sentencing hearing has been rescheduled for March.
