JACKSON TN (February 20, 2020) – Lorrie Douglass, wife of WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News anchor Brad Douglass, has been charged with Theft of Property at Walmart (North), 2196 Emporium Drive in Jackson.
According to court documents, on Thursday, February 6, Douglass was observed by Walmart Loss Prevention personnel under-scanning items. (Under-scanning is the practice of covering a bar code while pretending to scan an item for purchase)
Douglass passed all points of sale before being stopped by Loss Prevention personnel, according to court documents
Further investigation alleged price stickers on items had been changed, according to court documents.
The total value of unpaid items was $157.95.
Douglass is represented by attorney, Daniel Taylor – Spragins, Barnett & Cobb LLC. Her attorney pled not guilty on her behalf, in Jackson City Court, Thursday.
Her next court appearance is scheduled for April 1, 2020.
