JACKSON Tenn (March 17, 2015) — Superintendent Verna Ruffin announced two new principals for Jackson Madison County Schools.
Kyle Lutz, currently at Northeast Middle School, Academic Academy is the incoming principal for Lincoln Elementary School and Kimberly Quinn, currently at Thelma Barker Elementary School, will be the new principal for Jackson Careers and Technology Elementary School.
Both Lincoln and JCT were designated Priority Schools by the State of Tennessee earlier this year.
Ruffin said, the new principals will work alongside the current principals for the remainder of the school year in order to insure a smooth transition. During this time, the newly appointed principals will be working to determine the best fit for faculty and staff for the 2015/2016 school year.
On Monday Laura Link, the school system Chief Academic Officer, announced she would be leaving to accept a job at Purdue University. Ruffin said the process to find a replacement will begin coon.
