JACKSON, Tn…LIFELINE Blood Services is among many other blood centers who have committed to help supply blood for Southeast Texas patients in need. Hurricane Harvey and its associated flooding are impacting the nation’s blood supply.

The American Association of Blood Banks has asked for blood centers throughout the country, after they have met the blood needs for their own local community hospital patients, to send any extra blood products to Texas.

All eligible blood donors are encouraged to donate blood when the LIFELINE Bloodmobile visits locations in West Tennessee (upcoming bloodmobile drives can be found at www.lifelinebloodserv.org) and at the Blood Center’s 183 Sterling Farms Drive location (Monday through Thursday, 12-6 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.).
