JACKSON Tenn (April 9, 2015) – Dr. June Murry, principal at Liberty Technology Magnet High School announced today that Tyler Turner has accepted the position of Head Football Coach for the Liberty Tech Football Team. Turner has most currently served as Assistant Head Football Coach in Wynne, Arkansas at Wynne, Arkansas Public Schools. In addition to Assistant Head Coach, Turner also served as defensive coordinator and strength and conditioning coach for the team.
Turner is a graduate of Obion County Central High School in Troy, Tennessee. While at Wynne High School, he helped take them from a previous four-year record of 15 wins and 26 losses to a current four year record of 42 wins and 9 losses and his team has been a 5A State Runner Up, 5A East Conference Champion, and two-time 5A East Conference Runner-up. Turner received his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education/Health K-12 from Arkansas State University. Additionally, Turner has served as intramural basketball director for Wynne High School, as well as, assisted with the
high school track team.
Dr. Murray stated, “I am very happy and honored to welcome Tyler Turner to the Liberty Tech family. Needless to say, we have been looking for someone with some very special  qualities, beginning with a heart that beats to the values and vision of Liberty Tech and our football legacy and tradition. We have found the man to take Liberty Tech football forward.
