Things just might get a little crowded at 215 N. Liberty Street from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday.
That’s when the annual Liberty Street ‘Block Party’ – free and open to the public – will be held.
It is estimated about 300 people attended the 2016 event.
“Downtown is a great asset to Jackson. The Liberty Street Block Party is a wonderful way to showcase the area and allow people to network and mingle, “ said Julie Daniels, communications coordinator at the Jackson Chamber. “This block party gives us all a chance to celebrate our community and have a little fun.”
Besides fun and games, food and drinks will be available for $1 each, and Tyler Goodson provides the entertainment.
The Liberty Street Block Party is sponsored by TLM Associates, Jackson Downtown Development Corporation, BancorpSouth, King Jewelers, Southwest Tennessee Development District, The Moore Studio and the Jackson Chamber.
