Kids battle heat selling lemonade in mid-town Jackson

It is entrepreneurship at the grassroots level.

Battling the heat, Annalise Bennett and her sister Lucy set up a lemonade stand at the corner of Lambuth Boulevard and Roland Avenue, across the street from Health Care Pharmacy.

Annalise 13, and Lucy 8, are selling lemonade for 50 cents a cup to raise funds for a trip to Orlando.

“We’re going to Harry Potter World,” Lucy said. “We’re going to sell until we run out.”

“We were out here for four hours (Tuesday),” Annalise added.

Annalise said she will be in the eighth grade when school starts in August, and Lucy enrolls in the third grade.
