It’s not just a renovation at KFC, at 2051 North Highland Avenue – it’s what company officials are calling a new flagship design.

The “American Showman,” consists of a complete facelift of the building’s interior and exterior by Richardson Turner Construction (RTC) of Knoxville.

The exterior of the 2,800-square-foot building will be red and white, and RTC is gutting the interior to make way for new windows, new tile flooring and new equipment.

Company officials are looking at reopening the restaurant – which has seating for about 80 people – in four weeks.

According to the Madison County Register of Deeds, Gelman Family Horizons LLC sold the property to JRN Inc., for $1,457,500, in November, 2017.
