Kenny Robertson, an 18-year employee at West Tennessee Healthcare, is the organization’s first recipient of the employee of the month award for 2018.
Kenny works in environmental services at 1804 U.S. Highway 45 Bypass.
According to those he works with, Kenny has a cheerful and positive attitude, always smiling, is considerate, humble, a good listener, and making others laugh, while often performing duties not included in his responsibilities.
Tim Adams, vice president, hospital services, and David Evans, director of environmental services, made the presentation when the Board of Trustees of West Tennessee Healthcare held their monthly meeting at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Tuesday.
“He does things that are not just his normal duties … after hours, Kenny will escort people to their vehicles, carrying packages for them,” Adams said. “He really cares about the people he works with and those he serves.
“The employee of the month award is system wide, and it shows everyone’s efforts are recognized.”
