A new mobile application just introduced by News/Talk 101.5 is the latest way the radio station is making sure listeners can access the station at any time and from anyplace. The news follows a recent announcement that the station established an application for Amazon Alexa users.
The technology means the station can be listened to from anywhere in the world there is an Internet connection. Station Manager Larry Wood commented, “That’s just about everywhere.”
Feature rich, the free app does much more than just allow people to listen. Local and regional news and sports stories are easy to access using the new technology. The station’s social media feeds are also included.
Other handy features include an alarm clock that can be set to wake you up with whatever is on the air. There is a button connecting users directly with the radio station’s on-air lines.
The new app is available in the Apple Store for IOS and the Google Store for Android. It works on cellphones and tablets.
“Our new app will help us reach our listeners much more effectively by allowing them to access us from their phone without the use of a third-party website,” said Coleman Smith, an on-air personality at NEWSTALK/101.5 FM.
“We also plan to enact some contests and giveaways for our listeners and the app will allow us to distribute extra content such as on-air interviews and podcasts in the most convenient way possible.”
