No injuries have been reported, but the Jackson Police Department is working an automobile accident at U.S. Highway 45 Bypass and Interstate 40.
Traffic congestion is heavy and the southbound inside lane on the bypass is blocked.
Traffic is backed up to Union University.
Motorists are urged to avoid this area, if possible.
