From the Jackson Police Department –
Officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to an accident on the U.S. Highway 45 Bypass near Hollywood Drive around 3 a.m., today.
A 19 year old male was struck by a passing vehicle while changing a flat tire on the side of the road.
The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported by EMS to the hospital for treatment.
The vehicle involved was last seen traveling south bound on the 45 Bypass toward Airways Blvd., and is possibly a maroon Toyota.
